About the Role

The Senior Engineer, Technical Sales drives aftermarket spare parts and services sales for internal combustion engines, supporting existing customers and identifying new business opportunities across industrial, construction, marine, and power generation sectors. This role works closely with the technical service team to deliver value-added solutions that strengthen customer relationships and accelerate business growth.

What You Will Deliver

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with resellers and end-users across assigned segments and territories, ensuring consistent customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, structured account planning, and face-to-face sales calls
  • Provide technical consultation and accurate quotations for spare parts, repairs, and maintenance services tailored to customer needs
  • Apply understanding of customer needs, business models, and buying processes to recommend the most appropriate solutions
  • Conduct negotiations in line with company guidelines, manage accounts receivable, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding payments
  • Drive sales performance against agreed targets while maintaining high standards of customer service and timely response to customer concerns
  • Leverage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and established sales processes to maximize sales effectiveness and deliver customer value
  • Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required

Functional Skills and Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales or service sales, preferably in the power generation, industrial machinery, or heavy equipment sector
  • Prior experience with Cummins engines or related Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) is a strong advantage
  • Strong understanding of internal combustion engines and associated spare parts
  • Familiarity with parts catalog systems and service manuals such as Cummins QSOL (Quick Service Online)
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and value-based selling skills
  • Customer-oriented mindset with proactive problem-solving ability and the ability to work independently under pressure
