Job Summary
The Business Line Manager is responsible for managing business and leading team to deliver successfully ambitious growth for assigned CHC & Food Supplement portfolios in Vietnam market.
General Responsibilities
- Lead and Manage business/ team to achieve business performance (growth, revenues, distribution expansion and profits) within allowed budgets. Ensure efficient use of resources and budget.
- Work with Marketing team to develop business strategic Plan, Brand Plan to present to line management team and client.
- Ensure effective execution of localized business plans aligned with global brand strategies, client expectations and market dynamics. Monitor competitor go-to-market strategies and provide input/ solutions to best address customer needs.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, events, and HCP engagement programs. Track campaign effectiveness and optimize ROI.
- Sales plan by channels by regions, anticipate to support contract negotiation with key accounts (Chains). Lead/ work with Sales Managers and sales team to implement short and mid-term sales plans to achieve sales KPI targets for assigned businesses/territories.
- Allocate businesses/territories and manage budget utilization.
- Frequent interactions, meetings with clients, providing required plans & tracking reports.
- Work with ComEX and Sales Managers to set performance indicators and ensure tracking mechanisms are in place to support team ’s achievement.
- Ensure all activities comply with Vietnamese regulations and company ‘s compliance.
- Provide sales forecasting and coordinate with Supply Chain & Client to ensure enough stock for sales.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement on sales processes, sales plans, tender enlisting, customer satisfaction, etc., to improve sales targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive current business smoothly and anticipate in building business proposals of new business opportunities as client needs.
- Build strong capabilities in field force effectiveness. Recruit, develop, retain team under leadership.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Minimum four-five years’ experience in a similar role related to Marketing & Sales in the healthcare industry (e.g., pharma, consumer health).
- Strong leadership and team management capability with at least minimum three years’ experience
- Proven sales/ performance record in assigned brands and an existing network of contacts.
- Deep understanding of Vietnam pharmaceutical market dynamics and regulatory requirements of pharma products.
- Strategic thinking with strong business planning & execution focus.
- Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrate advanced analytical skills, proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication in Vietnamese and English (both written and spoken).
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business, Marketing, or related field MBA or equivalent is a plus.
