Job Summary

Lead sales team to achieve specialty chemical products'sales targets for assigned businesses/territories and overall business objectives

General Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive sales strategies for spare parts and other products that align with overall company goals, ensuring growth in both existing and new markets. Tailor approaches to various market segments and geographical regions, with a focus on maximizing revenue and market share.
  • Build and Maintain Customer Relationships: Establish strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and suppliers to drive customer retention and loyalty. Ensure that the sales team is consistently engaging with customers to understand their needs and deliver customized solutions that support long-term business partnerships.
  • Sales Forecasting and Budget Management: Develop accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and financial plans based on market trends, historical data, and current opportunities. Monitor performance against these metrics and make adjustments to strategies and resources as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify emerging opportunities or threats. Use insights from this analysis to refine sales strategies, stay ahead of competition, and anticipate changes in customer demands.
  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction and Service Excellence: Oversee the resolution of customer issues related to parts orders, delivery. Ensure the sales team is actively working to deliver the highest level of service and support, which drives customer satisfaction and contributes to repeat business.

 

Functional Skills and Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of spare parts sales/service operations: Strong understanding of the spare parts/ service operations of diesel engines and power generator including: market trends, product specifications, and customer needs, to effectively manage sales strategies and meet customer demands.
  • Sales leadership and team management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team, with expertise in setting clear goals, driving performance, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Negotiation and contract management: Advanced skills in negotiating pricing, contracts, and terms with clients and suppliers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining profitability.
  • Data analysis and sales forecasting: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market reports, and financial metrics to develop accurate sales forecasts, track performance, and optimize sales strategies.

Education

Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.

Minimum 05 years’ experience in a leadership or managerial role.

Minimum 08 years' experience in sales role.
