About The Role
The Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics serves as the dedicated analytical capability powering DKSH's Business Development function, transforming market, tender, account, sales, and industry data into decision-ready intelligence that directly enables commercial growth. In this senior individual contributor role reporting to the Business Development Director, you build and steward repeatable business intelligence assets that equip the Business Development team to identify, assess, and act on high-value opportunities across Vietnam's healthcare and pharmaceutical landscape.
What You Will Deliver
- Build and continuously refresh a structured pipeline of relevant multinational, biotech, and local healthcare companies, products, and portfolios to sustain a robust opportunity target universe.
- Monitor and synthesize market shifts, product launches, portfolio changes, partner or contract transitions, regulatory and market-access developments, tender signals, and competitor activity to surface timely and actionable opportunity intelligence.
- Maintain the monthly target tracker and signal watchlist, producing priority scoring, target dossiers, meeting briefs, and opportunity fact packs that enable swift and confident Business Development (BD) decision-making.
- Conduct quarterly portfolio whitespace reviews by therapy area, channel, category, and service model to identify capability gaps and adjacent growth opportunities.
- Assess potential assets and partners against criteria including strategic fit, market attractiveness, competitive intensity, access feasibility, portfolio synergy, and cannibalization risk to inform management prioritization.
- Prepare gap maps, screening scorecards, and evidence-based go/hold/no-go recommendations that support structured management prioritization discussions.
- Build and maintain a reusable library of market, tender, access, competitor, channel, coverage, and productivity benchmarks that demonstrate DKSH's commercial capabilities to prospective clients.
- Develop and standardize forecast templates, segmentation frameworks, assumption logs, and reusable proposal modules to improve speed and consistency across the BD team.
- Strengthen proposal quality by providing source-verified proof points and reconciling key figures across analytical models, presentation slides, and cost assumptions ahead of internal review.
- Partner with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to translate deal briefs into structured analysis plans, defining the business question, required evidence, data sources, methodology, assumptions, limitations, and timelines.
- Develop comprehensive fact bases and models encompassing market sizing, tender analysis, competitor mapping, account and channel segmentation, patient and customer funnels, forecasts, scenarios, and sensitivity analysis.
- Convert analytical outputs into editable models, charts, tables, and appendices ready for BD proposals and management decisions, with clear flagging of risks, data gaps, and confidence levels.
- Uphold data integrity by applying source indexing, refresh dates, standardized definitions, version control, reconciliation checks, audit trails, and documented assumptions across all analytical products.
- Protect commercially sensitive information by enforcing need-to-know access protocols, secured deal workspaces, and agreed information classification standards.
- Collaborate across Analytics and Insights Services (AIS), Finance, Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Commercial Excellence, Sales, and other functions while maintaining clear accountability boundaries.Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Economics, Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- At least 6 years of experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical market intelligence, commercial analytics, business planning, commercial excellence, consulting, or a comparable role; prior experience supporting BD or commercial proposals is preferred.
- Strong Excel modelling and PowerPoint skills, with practical experience working with market data, internal sales data, tender data, hospital and account data, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems; proficiency in Power BI or other data visualization tools is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability in market sizing, forecasting, scenario analysis, segmentation, competitor analysis, and synthesis of incomplete or inconsistent data.
- Structured, detail-oriented, and self-directed approach to work, with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively, manage competing deadlines, communicate fluently in both English and Vietnamese, and handle highly confidential information with integrity.
