Job Summary
- This role executes country expansion strategies and builds long-term relationships with existing and potential clients to support DKSH’s business objectives by identifying, shaping, and securing 3PL/4PL and distribution opportunities through strong commercial acumen, solution design, and cross-functional collaboration.
General Responsibilities
- In charge business development activities to expand DKSH’s Healthcare distribution services, including identifying, qualifying, and converting business opportunities.
- Conduct market and competitor analyses, feasibility studies, and supply chain assessments to develop data‑driven recommendations and proposals.
- Drive end‑to‑end proposal development, including solution design, pricing, commercial modelling, cost‑to‑serve analysis, and preparation of contracts, including renewal, business model change,…
- Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Legal and IT/Digital teams to design feasible, compliant, and customer‑centric logistics and distribution solutions.
- Support negotiations with financial/deal assessments and identify upselling or cross‑selling opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Maintain strong, long‑term client relationships and provide timely internal updates on pipeline progress, risks, and commercial considerations.
- In charge the onboarding and transition of new accounts to ensure smooth handover to Operations and Client Management.
- Enhance BD processes, tools, and cross‑functional workflows to improve efficiency and delivery consistency.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Proven business development experience in healthcare, logistics, or 3PL/4PL environments, with a track record of managing medium‑ to large‑scale commercial opportunities.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including the ability to interpret cost models, P&L impacts, and deal economics.
- Solid analytical and market research skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable proposals and business recommendations.
- Strong client engagement and account management capability, with experience leading discussions, managing expectations, and building long‑term partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional projects at global, regional, or country levels, working effectively across Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT.
- Knowledge of healthcare distribution and regulatory standards (e.g., GDP, GMP, HSA) is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly in English (written and spoken).
- High cultural awareness and adaptability, able to work effectively across diverse teams and cross‑country settings.
- Strong problem‑solving and solutioning capabilities, especially in designing supply chain or distribution models for clients.
Work experience:
- Minimum 4-6 years working experience in distribution business development in healthcare is preferred.
Education
- Degree in Business Studies/Marketing preferred
- Other qualifications related to the technical know-how work area, such as pharmaceuticals and/or medical devices will be considered
