Job Summary
As Business Development Manager, you are responsible to lead and develop the channel/product expansion strategies of FMCG in Vietnam market. Apart from developing new business and the potential channel growth, you are also responsible for establishing long-term business relationships with potential key clients and customers in line with business objectives.
General Responsibilities
General responsibilities:
- Monitor the project’s operating budgets and costs throughout the execution phase to ensure alignment with the initial plan and proactively identify potential risks during the distribution agreement period.
- Close work and support client management team to model and implement channel/product expansion strategies together and achieve short- and long-term business objectives.
- Explore, identify, evaluate and manage business opportunities/leads in securing sales pipeline in line with short- and long-term financial goals.
- Lead and analyze the competitive landscape, and make recommendations to senior management about the viability of business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify upselling opportunities and support the negotiation of pricing and contract terms.
- Lead the improvement of Business Development processes and cross-functional collaboration to accelerate business effectiveness.
- Establish long-term relationships with potential clients/customers with a view to enhance business opportunities.
- Develop and drive business cases and proposal financially, from internal approvals to client presentation.
- Negotiate and conclude commercial agreement by discussions with various stakeholders, both internally and externally
Leadership responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive business development initiatives and accelerate business growth.
- Demonstrate strong ownership in executing business development strategies and achieving assigned business objectives.
- Drive continuous self-learning and development in Business Development capabilities and DKSH behaviors to achieve individual goals and contribute to overall business performance.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Minimum five years of experience in FMCG industry with 2–3 years' experience in managerial capacity
- Minimum of one to two years’ experience in managerial capacity.
- Strong business acumen, analytical and business analysis skills Demonstrate skills in market research and audit by closely connected to the key players in FMCG industry
- Ambitious, assertiveness, self-motivated with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Proven client and customer account management skills
- Demonstrate ability to manage global/regional/country level assignments and projects
- Qualifications related to the technical know-how work area (3PL, operations, financials) will be an advantage
- Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country interactions
- Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Education
- Degree in Business Studies/Marketing preferred.
- Other qualifications related to the technical know-how work area (e.g. engineering, chemical, medical devices, etc.) will be considered.
