Job Summary

Reporting to the Managing Director of Cummins DKSH SEA, General Manager, will provide leadership necessary to grow the revenues and profits for all aspects of the business including full P&L ownership. The GM will lead a cross functional team through strong employee engagement, talent management and operations oversight.

General Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day operations at a defined location, responsible for all functions and financial metrics. Develops a deep understanding of Cummins’ business in the region, globally, and across all business units.
  • Develops and manages the business to the Annual Operating Plan with input from Business Development and Sales; monitors all appropriate business metrics including Branch balanced scorecards, profit and loss metrics, and asset metrics.
  • Ensures business growth by managing annual marketing and sales plan; develops and maintains business relationships with customers and develops new business partners and alliances for the business segment or small geography. Manages market analysis for span of responsibilities.
  • Manages customer satisfaction for the Branches as measured by Net Promoter Score and Lens of the Customer programs; encourages a culture of customer service; recruits, develops, motivates, and retains high quality customer service employees.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees; completes, agrees to and monitors work plans and Individual Development Plans for Branch Managers.
  • Manages compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and compliance; oversees health, safety, and environmental audits. Encourages a culture of corporate responsibility for the benefit of employees and the communities in which Cummins operates.

Functional Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of the industry/market/competitors/customers
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and a proven sales track record in assigned territories/products/services and an existing network of contacts
  • Good interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and external customers of all levels  
  • Strategic thinking / Setting the aims
  • Sales and operation management experiences. At least 15 years experience in professional working experiences. Managing a large group of direct report is preferable
  • Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)

Education

University or equivalent degree in Engineering, Business or related field required. Advanced degree in Business or related field preferred
