Job Summary

  • The Demand Planner plays an essential role in the seamless operation of supply chain activities, ensuring that we have the right products in the warehouse for on-time delivery to customers, inventory levels are maintained in a manner that aligns with demand forecasts and business objectives. This position involves a careful balance of analyzing sales trends, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating with procurement to optimize inventory turnover and minimize overstock situations.

General Responsibilities

  • Ensure the on time and complete execution of the monthly forecasting activities with the aim of achieving the best possible forecast accuracy and value add metrics.
  • Lead direct meetings with relevant business stakeholders (e.g., sales, supplier, finance, supply chain, …) to ensure the team consensus demand plan consolidation for the assigned scope of responsibility by executing the following core processes: Statistical Forecast Data - Analysis Data & Demand Forecasting - Execution of Proposal & Tasks List.
  •  Lead and drive internal monthly S&OP and external monthly meetings with suppliers to align the demand fulfilment consensus plan.
  • Lead and work collaboratively with procurement, supplier, team members (logistic, sales admin) to manage order scheduling and fulfilment. Develop action plans to avoid service and order fulfilment impacts.
  • Analyze trends to drive improvements in forecast accuracy and bias, manage customer PO demand fluctuations to optimize product availability and order fulfilment according to agreed performance and stock target.
  • Monitor supplier performance by reviewing delivery schedules / order board / Order Acknowledgement. Report on any issues or non-compliance. 
  • Track monthly forecast error results versus established targets, confirmed customer PO, and identify and report on the root cause.
  • Coordinate with sales, supply chain and procurement to order materials, parts, ensuring timely deliveries to meet the right requirements.
  • Oversee bi-monthly/monthly/quarterly inventory and demand planning using SAP systems.
  • Monitor and review weekly stock availability on all purchase orders to maintain in-stock positions and meet demand.
  • Prepare Dashboard reports on Demand and Supply planning (RM) on operational activities to be used as basis for continuous improvement.
  • Communicate inventory status to manager and cross-functional teams (sales, finance, and other teams) to gather insights and ensure alignment on demand forecasts.
  • Identifying and resolving potential supply chain issues that may impact demand fulfillment.
  • Proposing and implementing strategies to improve forecasting accuracy and reduce costs
  • Manage requests from Sales teams and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure that purchasing activities comply with company policies, DOA.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives.
  • Assist in identifying potential risks in the procurement process, such as supplier delays, price fluctuations, or inventory shortages, and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • KPI Reporting
  • Forecast, analysis, demand, PO, stock on hand reporting and other assignments

Functional Skills and Knowledge

  • At least 5 years of experience in a supply chain demand planning role within multinational companies (e.g: Manufacturing, Beverages, FMCG or Pharmaceutical Plant Management)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Analytical Skills: ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Data Analysis: proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques to forecast demand.
  • Communication Skills: ability to effectively communicate with various teams and stakeholders to enable the forecast enrichment process.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Principles: familiarity with concepts like inventory management, logistics, and production planning
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with demand planning software, ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP S/4 HANA: PP, MM...)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Proactive, committed and ensure follow-up in a very timely manner.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
