Job Summary
A dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Manager, Key Account Management in the chemical distribution sector, specifically focusing on rubber applications. This role involves in managing and growing key customer relationships, pursuing new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.
General Responsibilities
- Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in the Plastic & Rubber market. Understand customer needs and provide suitable solutions. - Business Development
Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and new markets. Develop strategies to expand customer base and market presence. - New Customer Acquisition
Research, approach, and qualify potential customers to convert them into active accounts. - Sales Support
Assist the Business Line Manager in executing sales plans, preparing proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations to achieve revenue targets. - Market Analysis
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and recommend improvements. - Collaboration
Work with marketing, product, logistics, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery, inventory management, and customer satisfaction. - Reporting & Compliance
Maintain accurate sales records, prepare performance reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. - Other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Proven experience in business development and new customer acquisition is a must.
- Strong knowledge of plastics & rubbers markets is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales or account management, preferably in the chemical distribution.
