About the Role
The Assistant Manager, Technical Sales drives key account management and business development within the food ingredients industry (savoury application) as part of DKSH's Performance Materials business across Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi. This role combines technical expertise in food and beverage ingredients with strong commercial capabilities to grow strategic customer relationships and achieve sustainable sales targets.
What You Will Deliver
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term technical sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets across assigned businesses, territories, and customers in the dairy industry
- Manage key accounts following standard sales management practices to achieve revenue targets and establish long-term business relationships
- Build and maintain multi-level relationships with customer stakeholders across Research and Development (R&D), Purchasing, Marketing, and Production functions
- Identify product gaps and new business opportunities based on lost sales data, customer feedback, and market competition insights
- Propose customer expansion areas based on market knowledge and competitive landscape awareness
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets client and customer requirements
- Manage and report accurately on sales performance and project progress for the assigned portfolio and client base
- Commit to continuous self-development in Business-to-Business (B2B) technical sales as part of ongoing professional growth
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Food Chemistry, Food Technology, or a related discipline; graduates from the University of Food Technology or University of Technology have an advantage
- 5 to 7 years of selling experience in the food industry, with a strong focus on the savoury sector
- B2B selling skills with a technical and solution-oriented approach, and solid understanding of customer and client value propositions
- Knowledge of food ingredients, additives, and food processing applications
- Established relationships with key customers in the market and strong awareness of the competitive landscape
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and results-driven with proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing
