Title: Supply Planning Asst. Manager

• Supply Planning & Optimization: Develop and maintain accurate and optimized supply plans, considering factors such as production capacity, lead times, inventory targets, and material availability.
• Supply Plan Execution: Oversee the execution of the supply plan, ensuring alignment with production schedules (for SKUs requiring toll manufacturing), inventory targets, and demand plan. Early engagement with BLs, Procurement, clients, vendors, toll manufacturers, to obtain optimum planning parameters of MOQ, lead times, order frequencies, and etc. that will lead to target inventory Days on Hand.
• Inbound Logistics Management: Liaise and collaborate with Customs Compliance Team to manage the entire import process- ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, complete & accurate documentation of permits, shipment tracking, customs releasing up to warehouse delivery.
• Inventory Management: Establish and manage optimal inventory levels to balance service levels and working capital requirements. Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and prevent stockouts.
• Capacity Planning: Work with manufacturing and other stakeholders (e.g. toll manufacturers) to ensure sufficient production capacity to meet demand. Identify and address potential capacity constraints.
• Supplier Management: Collaborate with procurement and finance to ensure timely delivery of materials from suppliers/clients. Negotiate rates, terms and contracts with suppliers, if needed. Build effective business relationships with clients, customers, government agencies and service providers. Propose and set up optimum inventory of SRA/bundled products and RM requirement of toll manufacturing/third party providers. • IBP/S&OP Process: Actively participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, providing key inputs and insights related to supply planning. Challenge assumptions and ensure alignment between demand and supply plans.
• Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply planning, inventory management, and supplier performance. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any issues that arise during the execution process, such as supplier delays, transportation disruptions, or warehouse bottlenecks.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the supply planning team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• System Implementation & Improvement: Contribute to the implementation and optimization of supply planning systems and tools.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with various departments, including demand planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, trade sales, marketing, IBP & SCM operations to ensure alignment and achieve business objectives.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements to optimize supply chain execution, reduce costs, and improve service levels. Identify and implement best practices.
• Budget Management: Manage the supply planning budget and ensure cost[1]effectiveness in all supply planning activities.
• Report Generation: Prepare supply chain reports and analyses to facilitate management decision-making.
• Client Management: Directly interface with Clients in their supply planning process and inventory reviews
Requirements:
• Supply Planning: At least seven years experience in supply planning and S&OP IBP, preferably in a senior role.
• Proven experience in developing and executing supply plans, managing inventory, and collaborating with suppliers.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inbound logistics (DIFOT management), warehousing and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of import regulations, customs procedures, and international trade practices.
• Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders • Expertise in using supply planning software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools (e.g., SAP, ERP, TMS, WMS).
• Proficiency and knowledge in using supply planning tools, is a plus
