Job Summary

Works with safety, efficiency and customer service a priority, the Distribution Coordinator is accountable to facilitate the receiving and storing, moving and shipping of supplies, stock and materials, effectively managing the timely flow of order processing

General Responsibilities

  • Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receiving (inbound), storage and Shipping (Outbound)
  • Keeping stock control systems up to date and making sure inventories are accurate
  • Complete daily shipping, pickups and receiving logs
  • Complete documentation such as Delivery Order using computer-based technology (SAP)
  • Record shipment data such as weight, charges and damages 
  • Close coordinate with carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue shipping instructions and delivery of materials
  • Rectify problems such as damages, shortages and non-conformance to specifications
  • Document and escalate any customer service issues and/or shipping/receiving errors
  • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
  • Complete safety reports in relation to health and safety issues
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with the team, as well as cross-functionally
  • Producing regular reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Performance of any other duties as required by Transport and Warehouse Manager

 

Functional Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrate expertise in supply chain management, warehousing and distribution
  • Demonstrate knowledge in project management
  • Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoke

Education background bachelor degree majoring Supply Chain Management/ Logistics Management/ Transportation & Distribution Management or Engineering
