Title:  Specialist, Finance Operations (Barcelona)

About The Role

As a Finance Operations Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic European finance team, collaborating across markets and functions. You will take ownership of assigned processes, bring a proactive, solutions-driven mindset, and apply strong attention to detail to drive accuracy and continuous improvement.

This role is open to candidates based in Barcelona, Spain or Porto, Portugal.

What You Will Deliver

• Monitor direct debit transactions across European entities, ensuring timely clearing and accurate reconciliation with accounting entries
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, approval matrices, and finance governance standards across the European region
• Manage Purchase Orders (SPORs) and invoice processing using SAP and procurement/invoice management systems, including PO reviews and resolution of invoice workflow issues
• Coordinate non-trade vendor setup and collaborate closely with AP, AR, Treasury, Procurement, and local finance teams across Europe
• Support IFRS 16 leasing activities and bank accounting processes, including reconciliations and resolution of uncleared items at a regional level
• Participate in European and global finance projects, including system enhancements, process standardization, and UAT/testing initiatives

What You Bring

• Accounting/Finance degree or FP Grado Superior (Administración y Finanzas)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance operations, accounting, or a similar role
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Fluent in English, proficiency in any European language as an advantage
• Knowledge of SAP and IFRS as an advantage
• Proven ability in multi-tasking and prioritizing workload
• High attention to detail, follow-through and accuracy
• Able to work in a hybrid arrangement with 60% weekly office presence
• Open to candidates based in Barcelona or Porto
