Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Technologist to join our Innovation Center. This role is responsible for the end-to-end development of innovative food and beverage products, with expertise in dairy, plant-based, and functional beverages. The ideal candidate will have strong technical acumen, hands-on lab experience, and the ability to lead cross-functional projects from concept to commercialization.
General Responsibilities
- Lead R&D projects across multiple categories: dairy products, plant-based beverages, functional drinks, gummies, jellies, and nutraceutical formats.
- Develop new formulations and prototypes, and conduct lab/pilot-scale testing to validate product feasibility.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial teams to translate concepts into viable products that meet consumer needs.
- Conduct consumer testing (e.g., CLT), analyze sensory feedback, and optimize formulations accordingly.
- Support production scale-up, troubleshoot process issues, and ensure product consistency and quality.
- Source and evaluate new raw materials and ingredients in collaboration with suppliers.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including specifications, reports, and regulatory dossiers.
- Support food safety and quality management systems: GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001/14001, FSSC 22000.
- Participate in internal audits and provide technical expertise for quality and compliance initiatives.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- At least 4-10 years of experience in R&D or product development in the food industry.
- Proven track record in developing products such as high-protein milk, plant-based drinks, RTD beverages, and functional foods.
- Strong understanding of food processing, formulation, and ingredient functionality.
- Hands-on experience in sensory testing and consumer research methodology.
- Solid knowledge of food safety systems (GMP, HACCP, FSSC22000) and familiarity with registration processes.
- Good communication and presentation skills; ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic analytical/reporting tools.
- Moderate to good English proficiency (written and verbal).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agro-Industry, Food Technology or a related field.
