About The Role
The Director, Group Supply Chain Healthcare, Own Brands leads end-to-end supply chain operations for DKSH's Own Brand healthcare portfolio across Asia Pacific (APAC), driving Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) management, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and strategic negotiation to build a scalable, high-performing supply chain platform. This role partners with Healthcare commercial, business development, and group supply chain leadership to create competitive advantage and enable business expansion across the region.
What You Will Deliver
- Lead end-to-end Own Brands supply chain execution across APAC, including supplier management, forecasting, freight, logistics, and artwork and regulatory processes, maintaining strong Case Fill Rate (CFR) and On Time In Full (OTIF) discipline with a customer-service mindset.
- Drive regional demand planning to elevate forecast reliability and inventory health, reducing supply risk and stockouts across markets.
- Own capacity planning, inventory optimization, and Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) rationalization at country level to maximize portfolio value and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with global supply chain counterparts to ensure worldwide supply chain readiness across the Own Brands portfolio.
- Manage the regional CMO network for Own Brand healthcare products, covering capacity planning, quality and compliance alignment, and supply continuity.
- Lead technology transfer and onboarding of new products and formulations into CMO sites, coordinating with Research and Development (R&D), Quality, and Regulatory teams.
- Build and sustain strategic, long-term relationships with key CMOs and suppliers, positioning DKSH as a partner of choice, and evaluate and select new manufacturing and supply partners as part of network and portfolio strategy.
- Lead high-value negotiations for manufacturing agreements, pricing, freight costs, and contractual terms with CMOs, freight carriers, and distribution partners to protect margin and ensure supply continuity.
- Drive cost optimization and supply risk mitigation initiatives across the Own Brands supply base.
- Lead regional IBP and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) alignment, bridging Own Brands operations with Group Healthcare supply chain priorities and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) disciplines.
- Deploy healthcare digitalization tools, reporting standards, and analytics dashboards to strengthen planning transparency and operational decision-making.
- Lead supply chain due diligence for Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) opportunities, assessing manufacturing, supplier, and distribution risk and synergy potential, and own post-deal integration aligned to DKSH standards.
- Partner with Corporate Development, Legal, and Finance to build the supply chain business case for acquisitions and validate synergy assumptions.
- Support Own Brands commercial leaders in vendor sourcing, product onboarding, pricing assessment, and business case development, and lead Supply Chain Management (SCM) contributions for strategic tenders, distributor transitions, and contract shaping.
- Collaborate with Business Development (BD) teams on new country expansion, distributor performance improvement, product lifecycle planning, and portfolio profitability reviews.
- Act as the SCM focal point for Healthcare Own Brands, providing senior leadership communication, performance reporting, KPI reviews, and risk assessments.
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional Own Brands Supply Chain team of three, building a high-performance culture and strong succession depth across APAC.
- Ensure governance, audit compliance, and quality alignment across APAC Own Brands operations.
- Champion digital, analytics, and process standardization programs that enhance speed, accuracy, and scalability of the regional supply chain platform.
- Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required.
What You Bring
- University degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) certification such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or an IBP certification is preferred; negotiation or project management certification is an advantage.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, including direct experience managing CMOs, ideally in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or consumer health.
- Proven ownership of S&OP and IBP processes with a demonstrated track record of driving forecast accuracy, supply assurance, and inventory efficiency.
- Demonstrated success in high-value strategic negotiation with suppliers, CMOs, or freight partners.
- Experience in M&A due diligence and post-deal supply chain integration is a strong advantage.
- Proven leadership in multi-country SCM operations with direct people management experience.
- Broad knowledge of end-to-end supply chains, including CMO management, demand planning, and inventory optimization.
- Financial acumen, including M&A evaluation and business case development.
- Commercial acumen with experience engaging customers, procurement, and BD teams; purchasing and procurement knowledge is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with familiarity in digital planning and analytics tools.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across senior internal and external audiences.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with resilience and comfort navigating complex, ambiguous environments.
Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
