The DKSH Sustainability Strategy comprises four objectives: enable our people to flourish, make our value chains more sustainable, achieve net-zero emissions, and make a positive local impact.

As Assistant Manager, Group Sustainability, the incumbent will serve as the group sustainability team’s “go-to” expert on human rights and social impact guiding your stakeholders on these topics. You will ensure an impact-driven design and execution of our  human rights approach and social impact strategy. This role is instrumental in achieving our objective of making a positive local impact. The incumbent reports to the Director Group Sustainability.

General Responsibilities

Human Rights

  • Identify, manage and lead the implementation of projects and processes aimed at embedding human rights further into our business
  • Develop, collect, and analyze human rights data and indicators and facilitate human rights trainings
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Business Units, Supply Chain Management, HR, Risk & Compliance, Health & Safety, amongst others.

Social Impact (CSR)

  • Develop and lead new third-party strategic partnerships and projects on a group level
  • Advise Business Units and country management teams on execution of the Social Impact Strategy
  • Lead data collection process across Business Units and markets

Further responsibilities

  • Operate as content owner for material issues related to social topics, including sustainability reporting and associated external audit, ratings, as well as further internal and external communication
  • Support the team regarding sustainability report, ratings, presentations, meeting preparations, communication measures, etc.
  • Support the sustainability data collection process, using corresponding tools and platform .

Functional Skills and Knowledge

  • Very good project management and conceptual skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create reports, analyze data, and deliver presentations
  • Strong sense of ownership, entrepreneurial mindset, and independent working behavior
  • Down-to-earth work attitude and hands-on mentality.
  • Enjoys working in an international environment
  • 3+ years of working experience, with some exposure to human rights
  • Familiar with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
  • Eager to learn and continuously building up expertise
  • University degree preferred

Education

Degree in Environmental Science, Law, Economics, Business Administration or similar
