Senior Client Manager

We are seeking an experienced, resilient, and commercially astute Senior Client Manager to join our Client Management team in Auckland. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to drive brand growth, build strong client partnerships, and influence commercial outcomes across a diverse portfolio.

You will play a pivotal role in managing and growing key brands, delivering results through strategic brand leadership, confident commercial decision-making, and disciplined execution in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement brand strategies and marketing plans to achieve net sales, gross margin, and profitability targets
  • Lead market, category, and competitor analysis to identify commercial growth opportunities
  • Monitor brand performance and confidently interpret financial and performance data to drive outcomes
  • Manage advertising and promotional budgets with strong financial discipline to maximise ROI
  • Partner closely with Sales teams to ensure brand strategies align with customer and commercial objectives

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with suppliers and clients, demonstrating credibility and commercial confidence
  • Lead regular performance and business reviews, addressing challenges constructively and identifying opportunities for NPD and portfolio growth
  • Plan and execute product launches, ensuring robust commercial planning and execution
  • Prepare and present high-quality commercial updates, forecasts, and recommendations to clients

Planning & Forecasting

  • Develop accurate forecasts, demand plans, and stock strategies to balance service, cost, and risk
  • Build, manage, and track brand budgets with confidence, ensuring profitability and alignment to business objectives
  • Design and manage promotional plans in collaboration with Customer and Category Account Managers
  • Regularly review performance, respond to change, and adapt plans with resilience and agility in a dynamic market

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven commercial experience in Brand Management, Client Management, Key Account Management, or Sales, ideally within FMCG
  • A resilient mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity, change, and competing priorities
  • Strong confidence working with numbers, including sales analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and margin management
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical capability and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels
  • A collaborative, adaptable style, thriving in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
