Senior Client Manager

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Client Manager to join our Client Management team based in Ellerslie. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive brand growth, foster strong client relationships, and influence business outcomes. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing and growing key brands within our portfolio. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional results through strategic brand management, stakeholder collaboration, and meticulous execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and implement brand marketing plans to achieve net sales, gross margins, and profitability goals
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth
  • Monitor and evaluate brand performance, providing actionable insights to enhance outcomes
  • Manage advertising and promotional budgets to maximise ROI
  • Collaborate with sales teams to align brand strategies with market needs

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with suppliers and clients
  • Conduct regular reviews of brand performance and identify opportunities for new product development (NPD)
  • Plan and execute product launches, ensuring seamless entry to market
  • Prepare detailed presentations and monthly reports to keep clients informed and engaged

Planning and Forecasting

  • Create accurate forecasts and stock plans to prevent shortages or overstocking
  • Develop and manage brand budgets, ensuring profitability and alignment with business objectives
  • Design and maintain promotional plans in collaboration with Customer/Category Account Managers
  • Regularly review and adjust plans based on market trends and performance data

Team Collaboration and Leadership

  • Support the sales team with materials, insights, and field support to drive brand growth
  • Foster strong internal relationships across Logistics, Customer Service, Distribution Centre, and Finance teams
  • Participate in store visits and market walks to stay informed about brand and competitor performance
  • Provide coaching and feedback to junior team members, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture

To excel in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in Brand Management, Key Account Management, or a similar role, ideally within FMCG
  • Strong negotiation, sales, and relationship-building skills
  • A results-driven mindset, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under pressure
  • Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and inspire confidence across diverse stakeholders
  • A collaborative and adaptable nature, thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
