Key Account Manager – Foodstuffs North Island (FSNI)

Our DKSH Services New Zealand Limited business unit works in partnership with Ferrero Australia and has developed a strong track record marketing key grocery and confectionery brands such as Ferrero Rocher, Tic Tac, Kinder Surprise and Nutella.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Key Account Manager to join our Services team. This role involves managing our key accounts with FSNI, developing and implementing sales strategies, and achieving financial performance targets. If you have a passion for sales, a knack for building strong relationships, and a desire to drive business growth, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development: Develop and implement strategies to meet sales targets and company expectations
- Account Management: Manage FSNI business assisting in sales strategy construction, achieving financial performance targets, and working with customers to build strong relationships and understand their needs
- Market Analysis: Provide relevant competitor, marketplace, and customer feedback to management and the sales team
- Trade Spend Management: Monitor and control trade spend in line with approved budgets
- Process Improvement: Initiate ways to improve the sales process
- Relationship Building: Build relationships with key influencers in the customer group and internal stakeholders
- Sales Implementation: Ensure sales functions are carried out effectively and efficiently, meeting or exceeding financial performance targets
- Customer Service: Ensure customers receive the best possible service from DKSH Services, continually improving service levels
Skills and Knowledge required:
- Proven experience in the Grocery sector with key account management experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in selling and the sales process in FMCG
- Ability to understand systems, IRI scan data and trade maths in order to define clear opportunities
- Strong influencing/negotiating skills and the ability to build relationships that promote trust and collaboration
- Excellent interpersonal skills – able to clearly express ideas and information, listen effectively, and understand others
- Ability to work through challenging issues and obstacles
- Customer-centric mindset with a strong desire to achieve customer satisfaction
- Ability to use resources and data to create customer deals and opportunities
