Assistant Distribution Centre Manager
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Distribution Centre Manager to join our Beauty & Wellness Supply Chain team in Auckland. Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our Distribution Centre operates efficiently, safely, and effectively to deliver outstanding service to our customers.
The Opportunity
In this role you’ll be responsible for assisting in the management of the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring goods flow seamlessly through the supply chain and that customer orders are delivered on time and in full. You’ll use your leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills to optimise resources, maintain productivity, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of the DC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management of daily DC operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and high service levels
- Plan and coordinate labour and resource allocation to meet operational targets
- Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders to build a high performing, engaged team
- Collaborate with internal teams including Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Sales to ensure effective communication and delivery outcomes
- Champion health and safety initiatives with a focus on “Zero Harm”
- Support system improvements and process innovations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
What You’ll Bring:
- In-depth understanding of distribution centre operations and logistics planning
- Proven experience leading teams in a commercial or FMCG environment
- Strong analytical and planning skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse/ERP systems (SAP experience desirable)
- Commitment to Health & Safety best practice and continuous improvement
- Tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain or business (preferred)
