Job Summary
Manage the execution of country expansion strategies and establish long-term relationships with potential key clients in line with business objectives.
General Responsibilities
- Manage the execution country expansion strategies to achieve short- and long-term business objectives
- Identify, evaluate and manage business opportunities/leads in securing sales pipeline in line with short- and long-term financial goals
- Manage research/feasibility studies/market scan, evaluate findings and prepares information for decision-making
- Manage the negotiation process. Prepare contracts, providing inputs on proper pricing and contract terms. Identify upselling opportunities and manage contract renegotiations with existing clients
- Manage the improvement of current Business Development processes and cross-functional collaboration to drive effectiveness and minimize redundancy
- Drive and coordinate activities related to Business Development workforce capability and client/customer data management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in identifying upselling opportunities, deal negotiations and finalization of contracts
- Establish long-term relationships with potential clients/customers with the view to enhance business opportunities
Leadership
- Manage and oversee team’s delivery of team/function goals to drive execution against goals set
- Drive and manage learning and development of team in the areas of Business Development and DKSH behavior to achieve team/function goals
- Drive self-learning and improvement in the areas of Business Development and DKSH behavior as part of continuous learning
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the company’s capabilities and industry needs
- Demonstrate business acumen, analytical and business analysis skills
- Demonstrate skills in market research and audit
- Proven client and customer account management skills
- Demonstrate ability to manage global/regional/country level assignments and projects
- Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country/-cultural interactions
- Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Experience and Education
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in a similar capacity within healthcare industry
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a managerial capacity - i.e. people management
- Degree or professional qualification in Marketing, Economics, Business or a related discipline
- Master's in Marketing, Economics or Business will be an added advantage
