Customer Care Coordinator

This role is Australia based in either our Adelaide or Perth office.

The Customer Care Coordinator is a crucial team member ensuring strong, close customer relationships and a positive experience within the Performance Materials business unit. This role involves collaborating with internal teams to strengthen customer relationships, managing orders efficiently, and ensuring timely and accurate order deliveries. You will also be administrating sales orders from end to end with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via telephone or email, providing problem resolution in line with organisational service standards
  • Answer customer telephone inquiries, orders, service needs, and complaints, redirecting to appropriate personnel as necessary
  • Liaise with warehouses and transport providers to ensure efficient order management and escalate issues when required
  • Ensure orders are entered within company guidelines and policies related to lead times
  • Provide system-generated confirmation for all customer orders via an official company sales order acknowledgment
  • Document and address customer complaints, ensuring timely action by relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor outstanding sales orders reports daily and take appropriate action, including communicating changes to customers and advising account managers of any problems
  • Maintain daily filing of all sales-related documentation.

Experience/skills required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service from raw material, ingredient, or chemical distributors or manufacturers
  • Specific experience with SAP SD and MM modules
  • Collaborative and committed team player
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resourceful problem solver with a customer-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Export skills would be desirable
