Title:  Chemist, Technical Service

Job Summary

As the Chemist, Technical Service, you will provide hands-on support to customers and the sales team by answering inquiries, delivering technical documentation, and ensuring a seamless experience. You'll manage regulatory compliance, keep documentation up to date, and stay ahead of industry trends. In the lab, you'll formulate innovative solutions, create prototypes for sales demos, and conduct stability testing to ensure product performance.

General Responsibilities

• Compile and manage technical and regulatory documentation from suppliers, ensuring compliance with current and future regulatory laws and notices
• Provide customers with the raw material coding package and respond to technical and regulatory inquiries
• Request and maintain updated documents in accordance with regulatory changes, assessing and implementing best practices and SOPs
• Respond to customer inquiries and requests, including preparation of special documentation, investigating and resolving technical problems, and maintaining a product information database
• Assist in various aspects of the quality complaint / resolution process, including interactions with customers, departments, and suppliers
• Prepare lab batches, make prototypes for the sales team and shows, and run stability testing
• Support in packing and labeling
• Attend technical meetings and stay updated on current industry trends and technology

Functional Skills and Knowledge

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience with hands-on experience in preparing lab batches, creating prototypes, developing, and testing formulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers, clients, and sales teams
• Strong organizational skills and highly detail-oriented
• Proven knowledge in quality assurance and facilitating resolutions
