DKSH Business Unit Performance Materials distributes specialty chemicals and ingredients for food, pharmaceutical, personal care, and various industrial applications. With 53 innovation centers and regulatory support worldwide, DKSH creates cutting-edge formulations that comply with local regulations. With around 1,600 specialists, the Business Unit generated net sales of CHF 1.4 billion in 2023.

 

We’re looking for a well-rounded Junior Sales Manager to join our Sales team for the Personal Care Industry Business Line. In this exciting position, you will be based at DKSH Portugal in Maia, Porto. As a Junior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and expanding our customer base.

General Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business in existing and new markets
  • Timely and accurate forecasting to build predictable and recurring revenue targets
  • Exceed sales targets within assigned market segments while effectively managing costs and optimizing gross margins
  • Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Negotiate and close impactful deals with customers and clients
  • Analyze market trends and competitors to stay ahead in the industry
  • Represent DKSH at industry events and trade shows, establishing our presence and network

Functional Skills and Knowledge

  • A Degree/Masters in Chemical Engineering or Cosmetics Chemistry; recent graduates in these field of studies with a passion for a target-driven sales are encouraged to apply
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in technical and/or B2B sales experience as an advantage
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with exceptional time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
